About the chorus:

The chorus meets each Tuesday evening from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the St. Paul's area of London. Rehearsals include time for vocal development as well as working on songs. Singers learn the songs outside of rehearsal time using sheet music and a voice recording of the part; it is not necessary to be able to read music.

To ensure each chorus member is getting the most from the chorus, regular personal reviews are held with a team leader to set goals, arrange private lessons and to give and receive feedback. This is an extremely important factor in the development of both the individual and the chorus. The chorus is run on a voluntary basis and all members are actively involved in making this happen.

Chorus membership is by audition following a period of four weeks' attendance at rehearsals; this involves learning a song from the current repertoire.

The London City Singers aim to have fun, sing well and perform with skill and passion. By working with great coaches and teachers we intend to develop our singing and performance standards to allow us to entertain with style!
